Who We Are
Building Resilient Landscapes, Thriving Communities
We believe that healthy ecosystems and prosperous communities are inseparable. When these systems are degraded, communities become more vulnerable to poverty and climate change. When ecosystems are restored, they create the foundation for resilient development.

Our Story
Why We Began
SSEAFA was founded on the belief that lasting change comes from restoring ecosystems, strengthening local economies, and ensuring that communities have a real voice in their own food systems.
Our Vision
Where We're Headed
A future where healthy ecosystems, empowered communities, and resilient food systems sustain both people and nature, where biodiversity flourishes and every generation inherits a healthier, more equitable environment.
Our Mission
How We Get There
To promote community-led agroecological transformation through ecological restoration, sustainable livelihoods, applied research, education, Indigenous knowledge, and long-term partnerships across every community we are proud to work alongside.
Our Values
What Guides Us
Ecological stewardship, community leadership, scientific integrity, and deep respect for Indigenous knowledge guide everything we do, alongside a firm, lasting commitment to equity, inclusion, and open collaboration.
Where We Work
Our Priority Landscapes
SSEAFA works across Bangladesh, with a particular focus on the Chittagong Hill Tracts, coastal forest landscapes, river watersheds, and Indigenous territories where communities lead restoration efforts every day.
